Introduction
Turbidity refers to the degree of obstruction caused by a solution to the passage of light. It includes the scattering of light by suspended matter and the absorption of light by solute molecules. Turbidity of water is not only related to the content of suspended matter in water, but also related to their size, shape and refraction coefficient.
The organic suspended matter in the water is easy to be anaerobic fermented after deposition, which makes the water quality worse. Therefore, the content of suspended matter in the water should be strictly monitored to ensure the water is clean.
Portable turbidity tester an instrument used to measure the scattering or attenuation of light produced by insoluble particulate matter suspended in water (or a clear liquid) and to quantify the content of such particulate matter. This instrument can be widely used in waterworks, food, chemical industry, metallurgy, environmental protection and pharmaceutical engineering departments, is a common laboratory instrument.
