Product Principle:

The permanganate method for COD uses permanganate as an oxidizing agent. The sample is heated in

a water bath for 20 minutes, and the amount of potassium permanganate consumed in decomposing

organic matter in the wastewater serves as an indicator of the pollutant level in the water.
