Online Automatic Manganese Water Quality Monitor

Short Description:

Manganese is one of the common heavy metal elements in water bodies, and its excessive concentration can severely impact aquatic environments and ecosystems. Excessive manganese not only darkens water color and produces unpleasant odors but also affects the growth and reproduction of aquatic organisms. It can even transmit through the food chain, posing a potential threat to human health. Therefore, real-time and accurate monitoring of total manganese content in water quality is crucial.

Product Description

Manganese is one of the common heavy metal

elements in water bodies, and its excessive

concentration can severely impact aquatic

environments and ecosystems. Excessive

manganese not only darkens water color and

produces unpleasant odors but also affects the

growth and reproduction of aquatic organisms.

It can even transmit through the food chain,

posing a potential threat to human health. Therefore, real-time and accurate monitoring of total manganese content in water quality is crucial.

Product Principle

This product employs spectrophotometric measurement. After mixing the water sample with the buffer agent, manganese is converted into its respective higher-valent ions in the presence of a strong oxidizing agent. In the presence of the buffer solution and indicator, the higher-valent ions react with the indicator to form a colored complex. The analyzer detects this color change and converts it into a manganese value output. The amount of colored complex formed corresponds to the manganese content.
