Five core products—COD online monitor, ammonia nitrogen online monitor, total phosphorus online automatic monitor, total nitrogen online automatic monitor, and online pH meter—have all been smoothly installed. The complete monitoring system has been successfully connected to the plant’s environmental control platform, enabling 24/7 uninterrupted online monitoring of all points at both the inlet and outlet.

This project provided a customized full-parameter water quality monitoring solution. The five types of instruments cover the core indicators for wastewater discharge assessment, serving as a crucial hardware foundation for the plant’s compliance discharge and online environmental supervision.

COD online monitor uses a nationally standardized detection principle to accurately determine the chemical oxygen demand of water, with a measuring range suitable for fluctuations in municipal wastewater quality. It features automatic cleaning, timed sampling, and fault self-diagnosis. Monitoring data is stored and uploaded in real time, fully complying with environmental platform networking requirements.

Ammonia nitrogen online monitor adopts mature electrode/spectrophotometric detection technology to quantify ammonia nitrogen pollutants in real time. The device supports automatic calibration with standard solutions and reagent remainder alerts, effectively reducing data errors caused by sudden water quality changes, resulting in greater data stability.

Total phosphorus online automatic monitor follows the national standard ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method. The entire process—digestion, color development, and detection—is fully automated, making it suitable for complex wastewater samples such as biochemical effluent and sludge wastewater, significantly reducing the plant’s manual sampling and testing workload.

Total nitrogen online automatic monitor features an integrated high-temperature, high-pressure digestion structure that completes water sample oxidation and content determination in one step. The device can be connected to the plant’s central control system, providing automatic early warnings when water quality exceeds standards, enabling operators to promptly address anomalies.

Online pH meter monitors water acidity and alkalinity around the clock. The electrode is equipped with an automatic scraper cleaning device to prevent probe failure caused by sludge adhesion, providing continuous and reliable data for biochemical tank process adjustments and wastewater neutralization.

During the installation phase, Chunye’s professional engineers strictly followed environmental equipment installation specifications based on the plant’s on-site conditions. They systematically completed cabinet fixing, sampling pipeline laying, electrical and communication connections, reagent filling, as well as individual instrument and full-system integration and commissioning.

All monitoring instruments use nationally standardized environmental communication protocols. The monitoring data can be viewed in real time on a local screen while simultaneously being uploaded to the local environmental supervision platform, fully complying with the online verification requirements for discharge permits and helping the plant easily pass environmental inspections.

According to the plant’s project manager, before the renovation, the plant relied on manual periodic sampling and laboratory testing. This resulted in delayed monitoring data and an inability to grasp real-time water quality changes, leaving process adjustments highly passive. After the full set of Chunye online monitoring equipment was put into operation, the four key discharge indicators (COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, total nitrogen) and the pH process parameter are all under automated control. This not only reduces the cost of manual testing but also allows technical staff to optimize wastewater treatment processes based on real-time data.

The completion of this wastewater treatment plant monitoring project in Suzhou serves as a benchmark case for Chunye Technology’s deep commitment to municipal wastewater treatment in East China. Moving forward, the company will continue to provide full-cycle services including regular inspections and after-sales maintenance, leveraging its complete range of online water quality monitoring instruments to assist wastewater treatment plants nationwide in upgrading their environmental intelligence.
