Short Description:
The analyzer automates the standard dichromate oxidation method. It periodically draws a water sample, adds precise volumes of potassium dichromate (K₂Cr₂O₇) oxidant and concentrated sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) with silver sulfate (Ag₂SO₄) as a catalyst, and heats the mixture to accelerate oxidation. After digestion, the remaining dichromate is measured via colorimetry or potentiometric titration. The instrument calculates COD concentration based on the oxidant consumption. Advanced models integrate digestion reactors, cooling systems, and waste-handling modules for safety and accuracy.
Application Range: Suitable for wastewater with COD in the range of 10~5,000mg/L and chloride concentration less than 2.5g/L
